JUJUTSU KAISEN – Anime of The Year’s Review

This is a non-spoiler ANIME ONLY Review

QUICK SUMMARY : The story follows a high school student Yuji Itadori as he joins a secret organization of Jujutsu Sorcerers in order to kill a powerful Curse named Ryomen Sukuna, of whom Yuji becomes the host

LENGTH : 24 Episodes

GENRE : Action, Dark Fantasy, Shounen, Supernatural

MY OPINIONS : JJK was 2020’s big battle Shounen that was very much hyped. As the story goes, JJK is pretty ok. The whole curse system was good. Battles were the strong point in JJK. There were many HYPE scenes in fights. This kinda increased the overall stats of JJK. The MC is kinda normal, not having much of a motive in his life. The side characters are what made JJK one of the best Shounen anime of the decade. They are very interesting to watch and the Author nicely focused on the side characters while keeping the MC relevant in the series. The other thing we can’t ignore is the ANIMATION in this anime. Mappa did an absolutely stunning job and gave manga the justice it deserves. Apart from the fight scenarios, the normal day-to-day scenes also have such fluid animations that makes the series a blessing to the eyes. Mappa also did a great job in making the openings and endings. The first op is GOOD and an anime-only will most likely enjoy it. The second op is also GOOD but it’s more relatable to a manga reader. Both first and second ed SLAPS.
