MY HERO ACADEMIA S5 – EPISODE 19 Review

This review contains MAJOR SPOILERS from the episode.

My Hero Academia sure does love its breaks, doesn’t it? Well, after a small week off, we’re back at it with MHA’s S5 EP19. Let’s head right into the review.

MY THOUGHTS ABOUT

THE PLOT : This episode was was very emotional, had an intriguing plot and an intense reveal a few minutes into the episode, the things that happened at the end and in the preview were far more interesting than the content of this particular episode. This episode did tell us what Shigaraki was up to, and even the entire next episode is about him and the league.

THE CHARACTERS : The episode focused on Eraserhead and Present Mic’s backstory and relationship with a former friend and current league of villains member, Kurogiri. Deku and the gang were there at the start of the episode, but not for long.

ART AND MUSIC : The colouring in the interrogation room was too white and not sharp enough which made the entire scene look like I was watching it through a hazy window, which was just a tad distracting. They used a new music track in some scenes. It did work in the context of the scene very well.

FINAL VERDICT

Episode 19 worked well enough as an episode by itself, but the thought of what’s to come intrigued me more than the actual show itself. Overall, it was pretty decent.
