We’re sure you’d heard of Tsunderes in anime. Here are some of the other “deres” you should know about.
KUUDERE
They are the personification of coolness. They try to keep to themselves and not bother with people around them. Mostly stone-cold from outside.
Examples are Annie Leonhart, Shoto Todoroki
YANDERE
Characters that would do literally ANYTHING to be with the person they want to be with. And if they can’t be with them, nobody else can. They’re basically just “SIMP” in Japanese.
Examples are Yuno Gasai, Misa Amane.
DEREDERE
This is the most uncomplicated out of all the dere types. DereDere translates to “lovey dovey”. These are genuine good natured love-struck individuals who really don’t complicate anything.
Examples are Rinko Yamato, Menma.
TSUNDERE
Those characters that try hard to not show their caring side to people. Even when they’re actually warm hearted, they’ll show their tough exterior to people.
Examples are Taiga Aisaka, Nakiri Erina.
DANDERE
These people are extremely shy. Often they have trouble coming out of their shells. This leads to them having a lot of nervous encounters with people.
Examples are Hinata Hyuga, Sawako Kuronuma.
