What is up with highschool teens living all alone? Where are their parents? And how can anime parents be so not-caring? Well atleast the teens living alone are having fun.

Every high school anime that I can think of has had the cultural festival where the students of every class come together to set up stalls and have fun.

No one stands above the high school student council. Not the students. Not the teachers. Not the principal. And sometimes not even the government.
THE BEACH EPISODE
Summer? Let’s go to the beach. School Trip? Let’s go to the beach. Filler episode? Let’s go to the beach again. C’mon we all wanna see some “plot” growth, right?
CLUB ACTIVITIES >>> STUDIES
So much time is spent in the club activities that we are left wondering “How will these guys ever pass their exams?” But let’s be honest, it wouldn’t be fun if they showed studying in anime.
MC SITS BY THE WINDOW
So you are anime protagonist huh? Chances are you’d be sitting right next to the window. Perfect place for your inner monologues and psychopathic thoughts. Though Hachiman broke this trope lmao.
LOVE TRIANGLE
So the MC has a childhood friend who loves him. But the MC is head over heels for the new kid. Sound familiar? I don’t even feel bad for the rejected best friend anymore. This is just so cliched trope.
These are some of the common tropes that I found in every highschool anime I’ve watched. Obviously there are more tropes but I’ll not cover them here.
