HITOMI – CHAN IS SHY WITH STRANGERS – Manga Review

This review might contain SLIGHT SPOILERS from the manga.

QUICK SUMMARY : One day an ordinary 2nd year high-schooler named Usami Yuu accidentally encounters Takano Hitomi, a big girl with a scary look. Despite her looks, she’s actually a kind and adorable girl who simply wants to become more sociable.

GENRE : Comedy, Romance, Shounen,

MY THOUGHTS ABOUT

THE PLOT : This is a manga about a socially awkward big tiddy tomboy who has trouble talking to people, because she has anxiety and of course, because of the cliched “I look too scary to make friends” trope. There is room for growth. If handled well, could make the story much better.

THE CHARACTERS : Usami helps Hitomi with everyday life, from going to and from school, to stopping at a crepe shop, and even having a study group consisting of him, Hitomi, and his younger sister, Kaoru, who is also Hitomi’s classmate. All of them have good pretty good and interesting-to-watch interactions between them.

THE ART : Hitomi’s character design is GODDAYUM good. Author said fuxk this and drew her with all his heart bruv. The overall art and other character designs are hit or miss most of the time though. MC’s yee-yee ass haircut is kinda funny ngl. Pretty decent overall, nothing much.

FINAL VERDICT

If you like manga with light-hearted comedy, extreme wholesomeness and a THICC-ass waifu, then just go for it. It’s definitely worth your time. Here are some more of my favorite panels…
