I wanted to make this post from a really long time. Also, the points I’ve shown here are my personal opinions. They may look like facts(lmao) but they aren’t. So enjoy the post. ALSO, HUGE MANGA SPOILERS AHEAD. PEACE.
PROTAGONIST
For this I’ll prefer Denji as he feels more developed and fleshed out as compared to Yuji (bcz CSM is basically a completed story at this point as compared to JJK). But I believe Yuji has more potential. I’m really hyped to see his character in the Culling Game.
BETTER PROTAGONIST : Chainsaw Man
ANTAGONIST
I’ll go with Makima. Nothing in JJK, antagonist wise, is touching how she manipulated and controlled everything and everyone to her will. Mahito is extremely good but isn’t coming close to her. This is all because CSM is a complete story. I truly believe Kenjaku/Sukuna will be on the same level as Makima once JJK ends.
BETTER ANTAGONIST : Chainsaw Man
CHARACTERS/CAST
I’ll obviously give it to JJK. They provide you a lovable group of interesting characters that brings just as much as the main three. It just doesn’t feel like that with CSM along with the heap of character deaths. Most weren’t even memorable due to them being so less explored.
BETTER CAST : Jujutsu Kaisen
EMOTIONAL IMPACTS
JJK CLEARS. Power, Aki, maybe Reze and Makima are the only ones worth mentioning. JJK doesn’t have as many deaths as CSM but Nobara, Kokichi, Nanami are WAYYYY better executed and had a LOT more emotional impact.
BETTER IMPACTS : Jujutsu Kaisen
PEAKS AND CONSISTENCY
I’ll give this one to JJK. It startes off good, then suddenly gets super amazing from Shibuya Arc. It also has a great pacing and properly timed execution. But for CSM, the pacing is at lightspeed. Though in quality, it only gets better and consistent so it’s a close call. But Shibuya peaks higher than CSM.
BETTER CONSISTENCY : Jujutsu Kaisen
FINAL THOUGHTS
I personally enjoyed JJK a LOT more than CSM but tbh, it’s extremely close than I thought it would be. JJK’s story is more developed than CSM’s even though it’s a complete story on its own. Also Toji >>> Every other CSM antagonist other than Makima.
